The problem, stated plainly
You have entered REFER200 (or the code shown on the campaign page you came from) and the application either rejects it, ignores it, or gives no confirmation that it has been applied. Before you assume the campaign has closed or that something is broken, work through the five causes below in order — they cover the overwhelming majority of cases, and the fix for most of them takes minutes rather than a support ticket.
Immediate checks, in order
- Check the page you started the application from — did you arrive via the campaign link, or via Tide's general homepage or an app-store listing?
- Check whether you, or your business, have ever had a Tide account before, including one that never completed or was closed years ago.
- Check the status banner on the campaign page you came from for whether it has been marked paused, ended, or amended.
- Check the exact characters of the code you entered for stray spaces, autocapitalisation, or autofill errors.
- Check whether the application flow was interrupted — closed, restarted on another device, or opened in a second browser tab.
1. You are not on the campaign page
Start from the REFER200 campaign link on this site. It carries the code into the signup journey, where Tide shows the referral-code box during the early application screens. If the box is blank, enter REFER200 manually before continuing with your name, email and the remaining details.
2. You are not a new Tide member
Any previous Tide registration — even an application that never completed, or an account you closed years ago — can make you ineligible. There is no fix for this one; the campaign is for new members only. This is worth checking honestly before you spend time on the rest of this list, because it is the one cause that no amount of retrying will resolve.
3. The campaign has changed or ended
Partner campaigns are amended and withdrawn without notice. Check the status badge at the top of this page: we mark a campaign paused or ended as soon as we find it has changed, and we date every check. If the status says awaiting verification, the terms on Tide's page are the only reliable version.
4. Entry error
Enter REFER200 with no spaces and no additional characters. Autofill and mobile keyboards are the usual culprits, adding a trailing space or capitalising unpredictably. Paste it rather than typing where you can, and check the field again after pasting — some keyboards silently append a space at the end of a paste.
5. The application was restarted
If you complete signup without seeing REFER200, do not create a duplicate application. Open Tide’s in-app chat within seven days of account opening, share the code and opening date, and ask for the campaign to be applied retrospectively.
Evidence to keep before you contact support
- A screenshot of the error message or blank confirmation at the point the code was entered.
- The exact URL of the page you started the application from.
- The date and rough time you attempted the application.
- The exact code text you entered, ideally copied rather than retyped from memory.
- Any confirmation email Tide sent for the application, even an incomplete one.
What to do if none of these apply
Screenshot the error or blank code box, note the campaign link you started from, and message Tide support in-app. If the account has already opened, contact the team within seven days, provide REFER200 and your opening date, and ask for retrospective application.
What support can and cannot do here
Tide’s in-app support can check the campaign status on your application. For a missed REFER200 code, contact the team within seven days of account opening with the code and your opening date so they can review and apply it retrospectively.
